These are Dick and John and this is their cabin a few hours south of Fairbanks off the Richardson's Highway. What a great spot! The only way to get here in summer is by hiking in and in winter by snow machine. Check out the bear protection.

Looks like you really enjoyed the glacier caving. I love the way Dick keeps the bears out of his cabin. Be careful sleeping along the rivers as they are considered highways for the bears to travel along. Keep up the adventuring.

Hey Barry,
Dick told us they had a bear breaking into the cabin by breaking the door in half, they put in a new door and 4 months later the same thing happened...
That's how they came up with that contraption and never had an incident since then.
I have learned about the good and bad camping spot and am staying clear of the river!
